"y'know. lily and i just didn't work out. we broke it off and now we're just moving in different directions. shame, really. she was a beast in the - heh. i'm so great. i bet if james heard that, he'd wet himself. or die on the spot. er - anyway. lily is like the the maple syrup to my spaghetti. she's amazing. all around fabulous. of course, i must annoy the sh*t out of her. when i first met her, it was because slughorn paired us up in potions in our second year. i was using the emmeline method of potion-making, which is basically me dumping every ingredient in all at once and hoping for the best. but as soon as i picked up this massive dried up slug to put it into the cauldron, she looked at me and said 'are you stupid or something?' i think she was on to something... lily basically took over the potion, and made me chop up all the gross stuff. i knew right then that we were going to be ickle besties. i assigned myself to the position of guarding lily against the advances of that idiot, james, but i have a feeling i'm going to be relieved of that job... can somebody say ew? i know i can. no - i'm kidding. they're bloody perfect for each other. d**n them."
