Brian Vein casually walked along the streets of Diagon Alley. His last years at Hogwarts was set, and well, he felt quite on top of the world as his gaze traveled along the windows of the shops. He stopped at Quidditch supplies, walked in and towards the newest broom. The nimbus series had brought out a new broom, faster than any they'd ever seen. His hand traveled over the wooden surface, tracing along the lines before continuing his walk. The broom would be something that could only come to him in his dreams.
He stepped out again, facing the bright sunlight. Now, Brian Vein was a pureblood, yet his family wasn't as loaded as most pureblood families. The continues moving had left them with little, most of their fortune left in Germany before they went back to England after his mother's passing. His aunt tried her best to give him and his sister what they needed, but well, that still wasn't what most spoiled little rich kids got. So, after his sixth year, Brian had started a job during his summer holidays, just gathering enough money to live in a small apartment down in Hogsmeade, so that he wouldn't have to bug his aunt and uncle constantly. They had refused his moving out, saying that they could take care of him, but he knew he'd feel better when he was alone, on his own with nobody to pay attention to except himself.
And well, now that he was back in Hogwarts his aunt had arrange a small favour to pay for his apartment until he finally graduated, which he loved her deeply for. Not really noticing where he was going, his thoughts marveling on upon the details he would change in his place once he got back from his final year he walked past a certain blond haired person, one that had previously caught his eyes. It was a blur, but when he finally noticed who she was he turned around again, quickly going after her and snaking his arm around her waist.
A cocky grin spread all over his face as he looked straight into the eyes of Natalie Bane. "Well, Well, Miss Bane. Fancy seeing you here.", he said quite charmingly as he looked at her lovely features. She had always caught his eye, a smart and cunning witch that didn't back down for a lot of things, probably for nothing, just what he needed.
ooc: hope you don't mind the little godmod.. else I'll just change it =)

It was a normal day in Diagon Alley, quiet a few witches and wizards hustling and bustling their way through. And while some seemed in a rush there were several that seemed to be taking their time, window shopping at each opportunity they got. Either way they didn't really bother Natalie Bane, at least if they all kept at a safe and wise distance from her. The last thing she needed was some rag tag wizard dirtying up her white dress, which I might add looked stunning and was well worth the hefty cost. You see Natalie was one of those rich snotty pure bloods that was just described, if you could sum up a complicated creature such as her so easily. Money was necessary but to her it wasn't all that made the person. Of course who could judge her just because she came for a well to do family? She was fortunate, that much was evident. Besides she didn't openly toss around her family's financial status, only days like this where she was seen in 'normal' clothes could one tell she went the extra mile to buy designer.
She stood out from the crowd around her, looking much more mature for her age than the other girls she went to Hogwarts with. Her platinum blond hair was pulled back and pinned up, adding to the whole effect of her pale skin and white dress. And though this light color scheme might make you think that her face would be lacking, well nothing was more from the truth - that is unless you like a woman that dolls herself up with watercolors. Her dark eyes stood out, as did her dark red lips. She was occupied with glancing at the shops about her, trying to find something of interest but each time she found false hope. She did have business here but that would have to be handled a little later. What could a lady like herself occupy her time with while she had to wait?
Brian slipped by her unnoticed at first, considering that she hadn't expected to run into anyone that she knew - at least not from school anyway. But he quickly got her attention as his hand touched her, slipped it's self around her waist. She was admittingly startled, at first. She quickly turned her head in his direction, a stern and dark look settled on her features. Of course as soon as she saw his handsome face it softened, turning to one of interest now. A smile danced lightly across her lips as he spoke to her. His words slid through the air, seeming to come so natural to him. She nodded before his words and their meaning was lost but failed to say anything further because she noticed his eyes moving over her. It was a strange feeling that flushed over her body, one of excitement and anticipation but one that also felt wrong, forbidden. She scolded herself as she reminded herself that a simple glance was nothing harmful. She found herself looking back at him, studying his handsome features again before the drifted over the rest of him. I mean she wasn't doing anything wrong, not that she was compelled to do what was considered 'right'. But she wasn't going to be one of these girls that flung herself at the first male to show her any sort of attention. She wouldn't underestimate Brian because simple glances usually lead to things of a more serious nature with him. Of course she wasn't half as weak or as desperate as those that he was used to keeping company with. "It's a pleasure.", she finally said back, the smile on her face showing that her words were genuine. "What brings you to Diagon Alley today, looking for fresh prey?" She wasn't sure if he'd actually tell her or not, hell hardly any Slytherin would be caught telling the truth when it came to revealing their intentions. Well if nothing else she'd probably get a good story out of it.

Natalie Alyssa Bane. She sure as hell was something. Even from the moment he had first seen her, she had spiked his interest more than any which he had encountered so far. Yes, of course there was Dorcas. She was, how to say it, like Natalie in a way, yet entirely different at the same time. Needless to say he had had multiple R-rated fantasies about both girls, individually and together, though those thoughts were probably not what he should think about in the presence of Natalie Bane. She was a lady after all, almost always dressed in a dress, her hair neatly up, lips ruby red that seemed to draw your attention to them whenever she spoke or just breathed.
He put his right hand upon his heart, his left still enclosed around her tiny waist. "Aw, Natalie. Now that hurts you know... do you really think I'd hunt for a prey? To smother it only moments after I've laid my eyes on it?" he smirked, knowing that what he had just given a small description of was entirely based upon his character. Brian Vein, was arrogant and bratty and well, he didn't waste time when he wanted to get a girl into his bed. Now, it was still a question, why till today he hadn't yet slept with Natalie.
Or no, that wasn't the question, really. The answer was quite plain and simple. Natalie Bane wasn't like most girls who just shagged around with some random bloke she had just met. She was a true lady in his eyes, delicate and elegant above no other, a true woman that was more mature than most witches of her age and she had confidence that carried her gracefully over every path she took. She was every guy's liquid dream, and perhaps she even ran in some of the girl's fantasies too. How hot would that be.
He snapped back out of his small trance, knowing fully well that he needed to focus whenever she was around, or he'd be in big trouble. "And why, Dear Natalie, should I go and hunt for a prey that's below me when I can just enjoy the fine company of a lady such as yourself.", he said smoothly as he brought her hand up to meet his lips. A cocky grin crossed his lips as he lowered her hand again. There was no way she would buy his foolery, any other girl would just have swooned on the place, but Natalie Bane, she was used to more, so he would give her more in the end...

Natalie liked the way that Brian wrapped up around her as they continued to walk. Sure he had an expert hand when it came to bodily interaction, but that was the same reason why she made sure to distance herself from him. He was handsome, intelligent, charming... What girls looked for in a guy, of course this made him the perfect predator. He knew what he had and he took full advantage of it. And while she could respect the fact that he didn't neglect his assets, well she wasn't one to settle for sloppy seconds, or thirds, or whatever number he had racked up to yet. He had a bit too much lipstick smeared on his foundation for her to let it go unnoticed. Not that Natalie herself was purely innocent. She had refrained from going all the way with a guy so far but that didn't mean that she refused herself some pleasure. Girls didn't kiss and tell, in fact it could go far beyond that and it would always be kept a secret. She smiled deviously and brushed her finger across her lips as if remembering the taste of something sweet and forbidden.
His voice drew her around to look at his face. His eyes were taunting, giving him a boyish appeal and making you want to do something to see that bad boy side of him. She had to just put her lips together and take a deep breath. Sure he'd been with several girls (or so the whispers and rumors stated) but she was sure none were the likes of her. She didn't let her mind linger on the idea because she wasn't confident that he could handle her properly and enjoy it at the same time. Of course perhaps she was wrong, perhaps he needed someone like her to satisfy his cravings. She shook her head playfully as he put his hand on his heart like he was stunned by her words. And ironically what he stated did sound much like she imagined him to be. Wasn't he always in a hurry to reach the climax when it came to his short lived 'relationships'? She wasn't sure if he ever dated anyone for any serious amount of time or not. But then again it wasn't like he was her property so it was none of her concern what he was doing in his past time, only that he was here and they were together now. "Well, I'm only going by what I've heard... from several sources. But seeing as how I've never had the pleasure I can't be too sure." She gave a slight smirk as she made the teasing comment. She was sure that Brian was probably good at what he did, and would make that time enjoyable... But Natalie, well she had a tendency to be possessive once she found something she really liked and that doesn't seem like this would be a healthy idea.
She watched as he seemed to space out for a minute and she couldn't help but wander just what sort of ideas were running through his head now. Part of her wanted to cover herself up completely and the other half wanted to make sure she kept his attention. Her fiancee, Gabriel was much more calm and collected when it came to impulses of a physical nature. That part about him drove her crazy but she thought she held it in rather well for the time being. And then as if something suddenly drew him back to this world his silvery voice filled the air about her and he took her hand to kiss it. A smile crept across her face in response, finding humor in his words. "I've asked myself that same question for years, Brian.", she teased him as let her hand back down. Her words meant no real harm but she did give him the message that he did have interest before... and a slight indication that she was annoyed with how long it took him to come around to her. Now lets say if he had gotten closer to her before his reputation started to form... perhaps there's no limits to how far they could have went, at one time. Right now Natalie had enough to keep her mind from wondering too far, at least when she was around normal company.

Delicate. Elegant. Pure and totally gorgeous. The words kept zooming inside his mind, but none of them were good enough to describe how Natalie Bane really was. She was all of those words put together, and even then, when they were put together, it was an understatement. Many girls were at his feet, begging for some kind of attention, but not Natalie. She carried herself with such an addictive nature that he mentally kicked himself for not having made a move on her sooner. Well, what had stopped him? He wasn't sure to be quite frank.
Well, there was one side of him that thought he knew what it was. Natalie was not just a random girl he would love to shag. She was more, like a precious gem that needed to be treated right unlike other girls he slept with. They were, just girls, she was, a woman, a lady, something that needed to be treasured beyond comparison. and what made him think that way, he did not know. But he did know that this was a part of why he hadn't really made a move on her.
He snickered at her comment. Yes, most of the rumors were correct, some an understatement, only a few overestimating him, if that was even possible. "That my Dearest Natalie", he started as he put his finger up to her nose, tapping it lightly while the small smirk stayed upon his lips. "Is because neither of those girls were you.". His eyes glanced down at her, hands softly flowing over her arm until stopped at the lower part of her back. "Who knows, perhaps you're the one who can cure me from my ridicule ways", he told her while the smirk remained, yet the slightest hint of truth could be detected within his words.
"So,if you'll let me.", he said while the smirk wiped away from his face, a true nature shining through for the first time today as he looked down in Natalie's eyes. "Will you go and have a drink with me? It's on my of course.", he asked her softly as his hand brushed a strand of hair behind her ear. So soft and silky he couldn't help but want to touch it over and over again. He refrained though, knowing that his normal ways wouldn't be allowed with her. "What do you say?", he finally asked again as a boyish grin crossed his lips.

Natalie couldn't help but glance over at her companion. His face was handsome, his features... seemed near perfect. When he was like this, around her all those sensible warnings seemed to leave her mind. Was he really some sort of monster? Man whore? Would he really tarnish a lady such as herself? As nice as it would be to find that out, would one moment of pleasure be worth what such a selfish act could do to her reputation, her name? Her mind drifted to Gabriel, her fiancee now... Would he approve of Brian's behavior towards her? Jealousy was only a natural human emotion but she fought logic as she told herself that he would appreciate that Brian treated her with special.... attention. A smile crept across her lips as she studied him studying her. Of course this was only for a brief moment because he soon slipped back into his cool usual self. A snicker issued from behind his soft lips, which distracted her attention for just a moment and it seemed to help with her mood. She would ease up a bit, not to the point he wanted but she was really enjoying... him. And what was the sense of hurting his pride? He hadn't hurt her in any way, yet. She would give him the benefit of a doubt, carefully.
He brought his finger up to her nose and instead of feeling herself freeze, usually followed by anger, she relaxed as he gently tapped it. The gesture put a smile on her lips again, which calmed her as he told her neither one of them were her. Did that mean he didn't quiet have the rapport that she was lead to believe? Had the few girls that he experimented with 'kissed and told'? His hands slid gently across her back to rest at the small of it. His next words were a little unexpected. Did he really think that perhaps she would be the one to break him from this lifestyle? Was it worth the damage that she herself would receive from a choice like that? Why was she even thinking of this as if it were an option? She was engaged to Mr.Sutherland and her future was written out for her, at least in a rough draft. She wasn't going to tell him this yet, though. She didn't want to deter his advances because she enjoyed his attention, a dangerous game she was allowing herself to play considering she had so much more at stake now. She appeared to think it over, her dark eyes batting quickly as if pushing these thoughts from her mind just now. "That's a dangerous statement to make, Brian." A mischievous smile played upon her ruby lips as she let her dark orbs drift towards him.
His expression seemed to change to one more serious as he asked her to have a drink with him. She was weighing out the possible consequences as he brushed the strand of hair away from her face. Why was his touch so warm, so soft.. so welcomed? She'd allow him to show her these tender signs of affection but she had boundaries. She wasn't going to throw herself at his feet by any means and she wasn't going to just throw morals out of the window because he had a charming smile and a great body. She thought for a few seconds before nodding her head in confirmation. "That would be nice. It's such a shame for a lady to spend the day alone and I enjoy your company." She would refrain from what she desired, again. She was quiet used to it seeing as how almost everything that interested her was forbidden in her parents house. She let a soft smile play upon her lips as she locked her eyes with his. "Where did you want to go?" There were just a few choices here and she basically already knew the answer. It was just 'polite' to sit back enjoy his company, let him have charge of the moment as long as he behaved appropriately.

Brian Vein kept studying Natalie's features, slightly less obvious than before, but still letting his eyes feast over that wonderful body of hers. Any other girl and he would have dropped his gaze immediately to her boobs or her ass, but with Natalie there were so many things that could keep him occupied, his mind wandering away from the obvious places but opening to those things that were unique of her. Those lips, ruby red with a slightly larger bottom lip, the platinum blond hair that seemed to have been brushed exactly one hundred times before she had pulled her fine clothes on and it still looked marvelous.
Still, thought Natalie Alyssa Bane was a very stunning girl, there was more to her than meets the eye. She was drop dead gorgeous to say the least, but so much more. She was wicked in her own ways, entrancing your very mind with ever movement and with every word she spoke. Any bastard would be lucky to marry her. But of course no real bastard would get the chance to come even close to her, let alone she'd give them as much as a glance. No, Natalie was different from any girl he had ever laid his eyes on. She was pure in a way he could not even dare to touch her. If anything ever happened between him and Natalie he knew his ways would be turned around 180 degrees, because he wouldn't be able to live with himself if he kept the life he was now living while being with her.
But okay, perhaps that was too far off the present situation. He came back to earth, smiling softly down as he wanted to brush his hand once again through that soft and silky hair of hers. He refrained, feeling that the gesture might be too much, showing too much of that other side of him that perhaps could be entirely loyal and open towards a girl. "Perhaps.", he answered her to her statement. His eyes glanced over her, truly seeing her for a person and not the normal prey he saw in others.
"Let's go then.", his next words billowed as he snaked his arms around her tiny waist, dragging her along the cobbled streets of Diagon Alley. The Leaky Cauldron wasn't that far from where they were now, but still the conversation they were having didn't need to go lost just by the small road they had to follow. "Of course Natalie, you and I both know you are very different from the regular girls. Who knows, perhaps you might really do me good.", he said more to himself as to her while he walked in the leaky cauldron, immediately asking Tom the Landlord to come over to their table to get them something. "Take anything you want.", he said while he stood behind her chair, softly giving her the time to sit down before he pushed the chair closer to the table.

Brian's attitude changed quiet a bit as he stood there and she started to grow relaxed in his presence, too relaxed. Despite the vicious reputation that he seemed to have built for himself, well it felt natural to be here with him, have him touch her. Not that there wasn't this voice in the back of her head constantly budding in to remind her that she was off limits now and that she was raised to behave herself better. But what could she say? Girls would be girls and they craved attention and affection. Gabriel wasn't around and Brian was more than willing to fill his shoes for right now, though she didn't deny that there were boundaries in place around Mr.Vein. She felt ashamed, slightly, that she enjoyed his interaction with her too much.
All of that was left to settle in her mind as he pulled her towards the Leaky Cauldron. It didn't bother her that he was taking charge for the moment, she just followed along side of him, feeling the uneven cobble stones underneath her feet as her weight shifted on and off of them. She glanced around at the people that they passed and much weighed on her mind, of course that was just common for Natalie. She viewed some of the older couples and couldn't help but wonder where she may be in ten, fifteen years. It was hard to tell what life had in store for each person and that's one reason why you should try to make the most of what you have now.
Brian said something that caught her off guard, she didn't know just how to answer at first. How sad, see before the arranged marriage rolled around she was more free to do as she pleased, now she was betrothed to a fellow Slytherin, one that she saw as a perfect suitor. How was she going to tell him? Since he seemed oblivious to the whole ordeal. She pondered these things for a moment, her expression telling on her that she was seriously thinking about something. Perhaps she would wait until they were inside before she made any reply to that. She saw the sign up ahead and a smile slipped back upon her face. She hadn't been here in a while and though it wasn't exactly the nicest place to get a drink, well the atmosphere was nice enough. And as Brian led her through the door the familiar smell and colors of the place swirled into view. Definitely better than the Hogshead. She remained silent as he called to the owner and followed him eagerly to a seat.
The man didn't take his time reaching them, already ready for their orders before she could sit down. It was startling really, for him to act like Brian had such authority.. or perhaps they knew one another more than she would assume. She didn't even know what to drink. Butter beer wasn't exactly her favorite and Natalie wasn't one to drink alcohol. She was sure she'd be a light weight but it may help ease the tension when she went to tell him her current predicament. She sat down in her seat and let Brian scoot it up for her. She glanced at him, "How about you pick something out for me. I don't care for anything really strong." She assumed he was going to be 'drinking' here, after all since the guys at school came of age it seemed to be all they could think about. Besides, she was old enough to have a drink (or a sip) too.
She waited until Tom was gone before she looked back at Brian, a smile set on her face and lighting up her features. "You know, you really are something." She paused for a moment her eyes narrowing on him but not in anger as if trying to pick this mystery that is Brian Vein apart. "I mean I have better sense than to be alone with you like this but I either can't help myself or I give in to temptation too much." Her dark eyes drifted down as if she didn't know how he was going to take her harsh judgment of herself. "I hope that doesn't change the way you see me." Her dark orbs finally found their target as they locked with his baby blues. She leaned forward, towards him and though she stopped as her body pressed against the table she didn't want to. She wanted to reach out and touch him, explore each smooth line and crevice of his with her hands.. to taste his lips but she'd have to settle for whatever he ordered her. "Would I be too out of line if I asked what you are thinking about?" She watched him curiously, wondering if he would even tell her the truth, if he would see it as an option.

Natalie's soft posture was so nice to look at, perfect against every tiny detail of her sparkling eyes. That she was special, he'd known from the beginning. Studying her, it took a while before Brian finally figured out that the barman was still waiting for his answer, he looked up, shaking his head empty and giving a wide grin towards natalie before he opened his mouth. "Two glasses and a bottle of cava please.", he said while he kept his eyes locked upon Natalie. So okay, she didn't want something really strong, but a girl like her obviously would like some of that sweet sensation upon her tongue. Yes, it was quite expensive, and Brian wasn't known for his wealth, but hey, he did have a small job almost nobody knew about, and he liked to treat his girls nice, when he felt like it.
"I hope this beverage is of your liking.", he said smoothly after the wizard put the two glasses in front of the couple, pouring the glasses half full before he left again. He held his glass lightly up, almost touching Natalie's without letting his eyes drop away from her. "to your never-fading beauty and wit.", he said as a toast to her before lifting the glass to his lips and taking a slow sip. Her words were still lingering in his ear, yet he waited a little longer before he answered her, putting the glass back down on the wooden table, his strong hands resting around the round foot of the glass.
"I'm quite unbelievable at times, yes.", he said with a hint of cockiness swirling around him while he leaned further across the table, head on the same level as his glass while he glanced back into those pure eyes of Natalie. "But you my dear, are even more amazing than me, and believe me, that's saying something.", he grinned, though meaning every word of it. He didn't know just what it was, but something attracted him so much.He pursed his lips together, biting the inner part of his bottom lip as he nodded just once.
"As for what I was thinking.", he continued his suave motions, "It just came clear to me that you are more than any other woman Natalie. Of course I knew you were better than others", his voice rang as his hand moved over to brush a lock of her blond hair aside. "But what startles me is that nobody has claimed you as his own yet. Of course, I know that you won't be claimed, you claim for yourself... But, it is utmost curious that you're free of any man trying to make you as his own..." he finished softly after taking his hand back to his side.
