Unfortunately for Lily, her late arrival at the Great Hall resulted in a rushed dinner that didn't taste at all like the usually irresistible meals served by the house elves. After finishing her minute portion of chicken pie, the red head was rushed from the room alongside the others who had been tardy that evening. Bidding an almost inaudiable 'Goodnight' to the Gryffindor's head of house, the rather hungry seventh year paused in the Entrance hall whilst everyone else departed, pondering on where best to go.
As she had spent her first two free periods in the Library that morning, she didn't feel the need to do any more studying that night, nor did she fancy a walk outside, as the wind seemed to be beating against the windows as if warning her against doing so. Peering through the huge archway into the Grand Staircase, Lily decided that it was best to return to the common room. After all, some of her friends might have lingered long enough for her to catch up with them before they retired to their dorms, or maybe one of the Marauders would be around for her to have a fairly decent conversation with.
Making her way up the stairs, a smile drew onto her lips as she thought back on the past few years, how she had originally hated the fours boys before eventually coming to adore them, some more than others. Lily had a rather confusing opinion of James Potter, although it seemed to become clearer to her just recently. At first her liking towards him was extremely tainted, due to the way he had treated her Slytherin friend, but now she was beginning to agree that the rather egotistical boy was rarely at fault. Of course, it wasn't just the 'leader' of the group she adored, Lily also had soft spots for the other members, each for different reasons.
Repeating the password with a smile to the Fat Lady when she reached the fifth floor, the red head stepped inside, pausing in the doorway to look around. Unfortunately, no one immediately caught her eye, but she was now fighting the desire to go up to her bed, and instead took a seat on an empty table beside the window, a relax look on her face as she gazed out the window.
